Ramesh Rao, who as an author of classical literary works is also called Srirangam Ramesh,is a Mechanical Engineer. After about 2 decades in the Marketing field dealing with engineering products, he took to giving solutions on Language Enhancement to various institutions. He was involved in the successful implementation of wireless language labs in about 250 schools and colleges in various parts of the country. With a passion for languages, he was part of a research team to enhance the linguistic abilities of the first generation English learners using ‘Phrasal Methodologies’ of teaching the English language.

Ramesh Rao has authored

The works of ‘Thirukkural’ by the great Tamil saint-poet Thiruvalluvar with meaning for all the 1330 couplets in English and Tamil.
The works of the ancient lady saint Tamil poet ‘Auvvaiyar’ in his book ‘Avvai Sonna Aram’, one more work for the first time in the world of its kind.
In this project the meaning both in English and Tamil for the life morals given in the original Tamil poems were authored and voiced in both languages by him, as the sonnets were sung in different ragas by many eminent singers including Padmabushan Dr. S.P. Balasubramanyam. He has voiced the meanings in both languages.

These works have been chosen to be distributed to schools in Tamil Nadu for the use of the students.

Translation Works
As a lover of languages that he knows, such as Tamil, Telugu, Kannada besides English, his passion for Translation and writing original works is constantly increasing by time. With a passion to translate classical works in Indian languages his effort to give the great epic RAMAYANA in English in a poetic format is well received too.
This book is close to his heart for he is an ardent devotee of the hero of this book, Lord ‘Rama’.
